Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Maritime Scheduler to join Marine Hydraulics International's team. As the Scheduler, you will be responsible for preparing comprehensive production schedules that are fully integrated and resource loaded, updating ship repair schedules for contract changes, and providing detailed reports in compliance with contract requirements and internal protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Establish logical Work Breakdown Structures based on standard Work Items and reference drawings for schedule development.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers, Project Managers, Project Team, subcontractors, and government entities to integrate work into a unified Production Schedule.
  • Resource load production schedules using Work Item estimates.
  • Update schedules to reflect contract modifications and progress updates.
  • Identify errors and potential conflicts in data and suggest resolutions to prevent project delays.
  • Prepare weekly schedule status reports and participate in project meetings.
  • Analyze Critical Path and Controlling Work, examine alternate sequencing scenarios, and provide feedback on additional work impacts.
  • Undertake additional tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in project planning and management or completion of Scheduler-In-Training program at MHI.
  • Prior experience in shipyard, industrial, or construction sector preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Products and scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or equivalent.

Working Conditions

This on-site position involves office work with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions. Physical requirements include sitting for extended periods, occasional lifting, and motor coordination skills. Must be able to hear and communicate effectively.

Salary: $58,000 - $74,000 per year
